For the following, substitute rapidly rising tide of products and services for “Coke”:
What’s great about this country is that America started the tradition where the richest consumers buy essentially the same things as the poorest. You can be watching TV and see Coca-Cola, and you know that the President drinks Coke, Liz Taylor drinks Coke, and just think, you can drink Coke, too. A Coke is a Coke and no amount of money can get you a better Coke than the one the bum on the corner is drinking. All the Cokes are the same and all the Cokes are good. Liz Taylor knows it, the President knows it, the bum knows it, and you know it.

In certain parts of the country, a Coke is any soft drink (pop, soda, etc.). A Kleenex doesn’t have to be from Kimberly-Clark. A Band-Aid doesn’t have to be from JNJ.
Are you saying prices will drop to the point where they become inelastic?

Firstly, there is no such country as America, at least I cannot find it on a map or in an atlas, secondly there is absolutely nothing great about the place we call the USA, except constant internal murders including of school children. Their consumer society has replaced of Aussie way of life in our country and we are now merely consumers in an economy no longer citizens in a society. I retest that lazy drawl and twang and can’t watch their pathetic dumb down supposed comedy. Australiana is in short supply these days which is a great pity because we had such a great society.
